CONGRATULATIONS to the five Gordon County elementary schools named High-Progress Reward Schools at the December State Board of Education meeting.  This is the first time Gordon County has had five elementary schools simultaneously achieve this award.

FY16 High-Progress Reward Schools

·     Belwood Elementary School

·     Fairmount Elementary School

·     Red Bud Elementary School

·     Sonoraville Elementary School

·     Tolbert Elementary School

Performance Criteria:

Title I schools identified as High-Progress Reward Schools are among the highest 10% of Title I schools based on the three-year average of the CCRPI progress scores. Calculations to identify these schools are based on the progress in improving the performance of the "all students" group over a number of years on the statewide assessments that are part of the SEA's differentiated recognition, accountability, and support system.
